ITALIAN STYLE MEATBALLS WITH PASTA

SERVES: 4

INGREDIENTS

500 g extra lean mince
1 egg, beaten
5 ml crushed garlic
15 ml fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
15 ml tomato paste
5 ml chicken stock powder
60 ml grated Parmesan Cheese
500 g ready-bought tomato pasta sauce Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
To serve Spaghetti or Tagliatelle Fresh herbs for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mix the mince, egg, garlic, parsley, tomato paste, stock powder and cheese together with a fork. Form 25 ml of mixture into balls.

2. Place in a Glad Oven Roasting Bag pour the sauce over and season to taste. Close bag and tie with kitchen rope. Place in a microwave safe bowl or dish and make small incisions according to the instructions on pack.

3. Microwave on HIGH/ 100% power for 15 – 20 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked.

4. Serve warm on a bed of pasta, garnished with fresh herbs.
